Cedar Dock Stain
The Cedar Dock Stain is a penetrating, oil-based wood stain designed for docks, piers, walkways, and other marine structures. It contains ultra-fine pigments that enhance the natural grain while allowing the wood’s texture to remain visible. The stain is suitable for cedar, cypress, and pressure-treated lumber and provides long-lasting protection in marine environments.
This oil-based formula features UV inhibitors, mildew resistance, and a water-repelling silicone that helps reduce damage caused by moisture. It protects against warping, swelling, and cupping while helping the stain maintain consistent color over time. The stain is approved for use over water and meets all federal AIM regulations.
One gallon covers approximately 150 to 200 square feet, depending on the condition and porosity of the wood. The stain is designed to penetrate the surface, providing durable protection while preserving the wood’s natural appearance.
Stain Testing
Stain test on a small piece of scrap wood first to ensure results are satisfactory before staining the entire dock. Age, color, texture, grain, and condition of the wood will affect the finished color after staining. You should not rely on the digital representation of the color before staining your dock.
