The 2 7/16 in. Pillow Block bearing is a pedestal used to provide support for a rotating shaft with the help of compatible bearings & various accessories. Made from cast iron housing with a chrome steel ball-bearing insert. Features (2) 3/4 in. mounting holes. Powdercoated green finish. 1 15/16 in. bearing bore. Includes 1/4 in. press-in grease fitting mounted off-center.
The assembly consists of a mounting block that houses a bearing. The block mounts to a foundation. An inserted shaft allowing the inner part of the bearing/shaft to rotate. The inside of the bearing is typically 0.001 inches (0.025 mm) larger than the shaft to ensure a tight fit.
