8,000 lb. Galvanized Four Post Pile Mount Boat Lift
The 8,000 lb. Galvanized Four Post Pile Mount Boat Lift is a high-quality and robust boat lift designed to safely and efficiently lift and store boats weighing up to 8,000 pounds. This boat lift is specifically designed to be mounted on top of four dock pilings, providing stability and security for your vessel.
- Heavy-Duty Construction: The boat lift features an all-welded design, ensuring durability and strength. It is constructed with high-quality materials to withstand the harsh marine environment and provide long-lasting performance.
- High Weight Capacity: With a lift capacity rating of 8,000 pounds, this boat lift can safely handle various types and sizes of boats. It provides reliable lifting power, allowing you to hoist and store your boat with ease.
- Straight-Line Cable Configuration: The lift utilizes a 15 ft. single cable straight-line configuration, which enhances lifting efficiency and ensures a smooth and controlled lifting process. This configuration contributes to the lift’s 8,000 lb. capacity rating.
- Elite Motors: The boat lift includes two 1 HP electric motors, each equipped with maintained drum switches, GFCIs (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters), and 16 ft. and 45 ft. control cables. These motors deliver powerful and reliable performance, ensuring smooth and precise boat lifting operations.
- Galvanized Finish: The boat lift features a hot-dipped galvanized finish, providing excellent corrosion resistance and protection against rust and degradation. This ensures the lift’s longevity and maintains its structural integrity even in harsh marine conditions.
- (2) Elite Motors: 1 HP motors with maintained drum switches, GFCIs, and 16 ft. and 45 ft. control cables.
- (2) 12K 13 ft. galvanized top beams with dead man brackets.
- (1) 16 in. chock angle kit.
- (4) Guidepost stanchions, PVC pipe, and black 48 in. split bumpers.
- (2) 4,000 lb. standard powder-coated gear plate assemblies with hoist covers.
- (1) 6K fastener kit.
- (4) 15 ft. x 5/16 in. 7 x 19 aircraft cables.
Installation and Considerations:
- Cradle Width Measurement: It is essential to measure the precise center-to-center distance between the pilings to determine the appropriate cradle length for the boat lift. This ensures proper boat lift operation and prevents any issues.
- Piling Depth: The boat lift requires 8-inch pilings to be installed with sufficient seabed penetration. Proper installation and leveling of the pilings are crucial for safe and efficient boat lift operation.
- Hoist Securement: The boat hoists are securely attached to the top beams using provided bolts and flat-plate covers. The assembly instructions should be followed carefully to ensure proper hoist installation.
- Cable Installation: The boat lift comes with four 15 ft. galvanized aircraft cables for lifting. The cable installation should be done according to the provided instructions, ensuring proper attachment to the endplates.
- Professional Installation Recommended: Due to the complexity of assembly and installation, it is recommended to have experienced contractors or professionals familiar with boat hoist assembly and installation handle the installation process. Improper installation and maintenance may void the manufacturer’s warranty.
Shipping and Delivery:
- The boat lift is shipped individually crated via motor freight.
- It is the purchaser’s responsibility to arrange a delivery address accessible to the freight company, with a forklift available for unloading. If forklifts are not available, the crates must be unloaded by hand.
- The purchaser must be present at the time of delivery.
- BH-USA will coordinate with the freight company for delivery arrangements, and any missed deliveries may result in extra freight charges.
In summary, the 8,000 lb. Galvanized Four Post Pile Mount Boat Lift offers a reliable and durable solution for lifting and storing boats weighing up to 8,000 pounds. With its robust construction, high weight capacity, and included components, it provides an efficient and safe boat lifting experience.
CRADLE WIDTH MEASUREMENT
6,000-lb galvanized boat lift is equipped with standard 12 ft 6 in cradle beams. If your pilings are already installed, it is essential to obtain a precise center-to-center measurement between the pilings. Your cradle length will be determined by this measurement. When the center-to-center measurement is 12 ft 6 in, then you will need a cradle length of 12 ft 6 in If the correct length of boat cradles is not installed, issues can arise with how the boat lift operates.
To support the weight of the boat, the 8-inch pilings must be installed with enough seabed penetration. Each piling must be square and level with the others. Drive-end pilings (where the boat hoists are installed) should be 6 inches shorter than the other two pilings. After installation, movement of the pilings will affect boat lift operation and safety.
A. HOIST SECUREMENT
BH-USA flat-plate boat hoists are attached to the top beam with 1/2 in x 1 1/2 in bolts (included). Initially, mount the back of the flat-plate cover between the gear plate and the top beam. Align the hole in the drive pipe with the hole in the large gear sleeve. Set the gear sleeve bolt in place and snap the front cover into the back cover.
B. BOAT HOIST CONTROL CABLE
One of the flat-plate boat hoists is wired with an extra cable (45 ft) so that both drum switches can be mounted side-by-side. It is not recommended to wire both flat-plate hoists to one drum switch. For double motorboat lifts, we recommend using the GEM Remotes GR2 double motor boat lift remote. One to two boat lift motors can be operated simultaneously. It was designed to operate this type of lift.
C. TOP BEAM SECUREMENT
Utilize lag or through bolts to secure the top beams to the pilings. Piling attachment bolts are not included.
D. CABLE INSTALLATION
The 10,000 lb & 12,000 lb galvanized boat lifts will come with 123 ft of boat lift cable. Unlike the 6,000 lb and 8,000 lb beams, the 10,000 lb & 12,000 lb beams have deadman brackets welded to each beam to attach your boat lift cable. Compounding blocks are included with boat cradles.
Installation is required. This unit should be assembled by experienced contractors or professionals familiar with boat hoist assembly and installation. Improper installation and maintenance may void the manufacturer’s warranty. The assembly/use instructions should be read and examined before operation.
